It's a WOW Birthday!

Hello friends.  Every time I make one of these cards, I always think that it will be last one because, as you can imagine, it's a lot of work and very time consuming.  But when the right birthday comes along, I forget about all that and have a lot of fun picturing the recipient's face when she/he opens their birthday card.  Such was it with this card ...

I used a file from Silhouette to make all required amount of sections to include the 75 candles.  I used another Silhouette file to make the daisies to decorate it.  The Happy Birthday greeting and the numbers are included in the card base file.  The ladybugs are little self adhesive 3D stickers from Hobby Lobby.

I think my friend liked it very much so it was worth the work and time I put into it :-)

So glad you came for a visit today.  I hope to see you again soon.

A Halloween Cocktail

Hello crafting friends.  I have a Halloween card to share with you today.

I used the Olive Martini and the Boos! Cocktails die sets from Spellbinders to create this card.

The spiderweb patterned paper is from Authentique.

On the inside I used the Spooky Happy Halloween w/Shadow die set from Kat Scrappiness.  This square card measures 5.5" x 5.5".  All bits and pieces of cardstock used for the die cuts are from my scraps drawers.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you enjoyed your visit.

Mother's Day Card

Hello everyone.  Today I'd like to share the Mother's Day I made for my mom.
As I mentioned before, I haven't been feeling that great, and the mojo is slightly lacking.  So in times like this, I turn to the enormous pile of card kits that I have accumulated through the years.  I'd have to say that my favourite company for card kits is Hunkydory. I just love their gold or silver accents, their gorgeous images, the beautiful print quality of their images, and luxurious cardstock.  This card was made using the Hunkydory Concept 118 Card kit.  This card is called Garden Rose.

The other awesome thing is that this kit comes with envelopes.  It's a bit difficult to measure the card with all it's elements sticking out in different directions, but when folded for mailing this card fits into a 7.25" by 5.25" envelope.

My mom is currently staying with us, on holiday, so it was hand delivered.  She loves watching the blue jays in our garden.  They have breakfast and dinner at our bird feeders, bathe in our bird bath and believe it or not, spend the days chasing away the squirrels from the bird feeders. So you see, when I saw this card with two blue jays, I knew she was going to like it 😀

That's all for today.  I'll be back tomorrow to share another card with you.
Until then, enjoy the rest of your Friday and stay safe.

Hugs,

With hubby's birthday coming up in June, I used the pre-coloured Hole in One Hal Hole in One Hal Backing Paper from Dr. Digi's House of Stamps and made this fancy fold card for him.

I cut and used the background in three separate sections.  I used the golf course background for the center piece of this center fold card.  Then I used the golf balls to make the two side pieces.

I print and cut Hal 5 times and adhered each layer to each other to create a little dimension.

I adhered a golf cart to the right side of the card and ...

and golf ball on a tee to the left.  I also cut a piece of grass to go right across the front of the card.

Remember I mentioned above that I had cut the background into 3 pieces?  Well here is the 3rd piece.  I love these digis! All elements go well with each other and makes it very easy to put it all together.
When folded for mailing this card measures 7" x 5" and fits perfectly into an A7 envelope.

And that is all for today folks.  Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed your visit.  I would love to you see you play along with us.  You have until noon, CST, on 8 July 2025, to link your project to our challenge.

Another Stitch Birthday Card

My mom is visiting from Portugal and loved being here for her great grandson's birthday. If you read my post a couple of days ago, you know that my grandson is crazy about Stitch.  Well I had to make a card for my mom to give him, so out came another Stitch card!

I used a Silhouette file for the card base.  I also used the Silhouette to print and cut the Stitch image 3 times.  Image was found on Google and was printed on photo paper.

By adhering the 3 images together, I got a more sturdy Stitch to put on the card.

Here is a side view.

I made a panel at the back to print my sentiment and it's what my mom used to write her personal message.

This tunnel card measures 7" x 5" when folded flat for mailing.
Our little guy loved his card, so grandma did good!!! 😀
It's all for today. Thanks so much for stopping by.

Son's Birthday Card

Hello everyone.  Today I'd like to share the birthday card I made for my son's 29th birthday.  I always find it hard to make a card for a young man, but since he loves wolves, I thought using this Paper Boutique paper pad and matching toppers would work.  And I think it did because he thought his card was "cool" 😀

I found this tower pillar card tutorial on the Mixed Up Craft youtube channel HERE
I used the 7" x 5" version.

I used another topper, that also comes with the paper pack, on the back and used it to write my very short and sweet birthday message.

Crafty supplies used:
The Paper Boutique  Decorative Papers & Toppers - For Him
The Paper Boutique Coloured Card Collection - For Him
Marianne Design - Mirror cardstock
Marianne Design - Pin Numbers
Kat Scrappiness - Happy Birthday w/Shadow

That's all for today, folks.  Thanks so much for stopping by.

Till next time.

It's a Stitch Birthday

My grandson loves Lilo & Stitch so I decided to make him this card for his birthday.

It was very easy to put together although there was a bunch of printing and cutting.  Thank goodness for the Silhouette  It just makes things so much easier! 😀  This centre fold card base is also a file from Silhouette. Stitch and the tropical flowers border were both images found on Google and royalty free.

I print Stitch onto photo paper 5 times and then adhered each layer to each other.  This adds a little bulk thus creating a little dimension.

For some reason the pic of the inside of the card is all blurry so not worth posting and since the card has been given away, I can't take a pic. But it was pretty simple.  I just cut out the same red and white fancy panels and adhered them to the inside with a stamped Happy Birthday greeting.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope you'll come back soon for another visit.

Catching up and a Fairy Card

Hello crafting friends.  It's been a few months since I've posted anything other then my DT cards.  It's been a few months of trying to heal from different illnesses starting with a small fall which led to almost 4 weeks of pain in my ribs.  Somehow I managed to crunch my floating ribs on impact.  Just a small fall off a curb and onto my knees.  In fact there was nothing on my knees to show for it.  That set off a series of illnesses and to be short and sweet I'm just sick of being sick!  Hopefully I'm finally on the way to full recovery and getting ready to enjoy my Summer and Summer holidays.

Through all of the above, I've still been able to make cards for my family for various events from Valentine Day's cards, which I have not shared, to today when my little Emma had her 11th birthday party.  So when you see Valentine cards, Easter cards, etc. on my posts, at least you'll know that I haven't lost my marbles (not yet anyway 😀), I'm just catching up on posts.

I'll start with the card I made for my little Emma who loves fairies.  Since I wasn't feeling that great, I started going through my pile of card kits. It's so much easier when everything is all together and already sorted out for you 😀 This card is made from supplies from Hunkydory's toppers and backgrounds called a Touch of Magic.

Fairy "floating" on acetate.

A close up of the background.

My OCD would not allow the glue dots to be seen, so I cut out a shadow piece of the fairy out of white cardstock and adhered it to the inside. I also added a plain white piece of cardstock to cover the sides. This way, it all looks nice and neat and my OCD is at peace 😀

I added my greeting and a couple of lil roses to the back of the card.  This is where I wrote my message.

When the card is closed and ready to place in envelope, it measures 7" x 5".
My little Emma loved it, so mission accomplished!

Materials used:
Hunkydory - A Touch of Magic Decoupage Toppers
Hunkydory - A Touch of Magic Brilliant Backgrounds
Kat Scrappiness - Happy Birthday w/Shadow Die

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  I will have a few more "catching up" posts in the next few days.  I hope you'll come back and visit again.

Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round ~ Frosty the Snowman

Hello and welcome to this month's Christmas challenge at
 Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round.

Our inspiration song for June's challenge is 𝅘𝅥𝅮𝅘𝅥𝅯 IFrosty the Snowman 𝅘𝅥𝅮𝅘𝅥𝅯.  This means that you can use any verse, phrase or word in the song to create your Christmas project.  Here are the lyrics of this song for your inspiration

~ Frosty the Snowman ~
Frosty, the snowman was a jolly happy soul
With a corncob pipe and a button nose
And eyes made out of coal
Frosty, the snowman is a fairy tale, they say
He was made of snow, but the children know
That he came to life one day
There must have been some magic
In that old silk hat they found
For when they placed it on his head
He began to dance around
Oh Frosty, the snowman was as live as he could be
And the children say he could laugh and play
Just the same as you and me
Oh, thumpety, thump, thump, thumpety, thump, thump
Look at Frosty go, thumpety thump thump
Thumpety thump thump, over the hills of snow
Ah Frosty, the snowman knew the sun was hot that day
So he said, "Let's run and we'll have some fun
Now, before I melt away"
Down to the village with a broomstick in his hand
Runnin' here and there, all around the square
Sayin', "Catch me if you can"
He led them down the streets of town
Right to the traffic cop
He only paused a moment
When he heard him holler, "Stop"
Because ol' Frosty, the snowman, he had to hurry on his way
But he waved goodbye sayin', "Don't you cry
I'll be back again some day, I'll be back again some day
I'll be back again some day"

I've been trying to work through some of the ginormous pile of card kits I have, so I decided to work on this one, which I thought would be perfect for our challenge.

t uses stitching, hobby dots and a decoupage image. I think it came out pretty cute and festive :-)

Here is a close up of all the different elements used on this card. The kit used to make this card is from the Specialties Book Kit No. 13.  I got this kit from The Netherlands, as a gift from my SIL.

I took one of the decoupage layers and used it on the inside of the card.  I think this brings it all together nicely and adds a little something fun on the inside of the card too :-)

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Now it's your turn to make a Christmas project,  and come play along with us.  You have till the end of the month to link your project to our blog at  Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round.
